Assam: Wild buffalo kills forest guard in Manas National Park

In a tragic incident, a forest guard at the Manas National Park in Assam was killed by a wild buffalo inside the protected area on Sunday.
The incident occurred near the Bhuyapara forest range of the Manas National Park in Bodoland Territorial Area.
As per inputs, the guard was attacked by the wild Buffalo near the Makhibaha river during casual patrolling.
The deceased identified as Robin Basumatary, was working in the Makhibaha camp in Bhuyapara.
Two other forest guards identified as Hitesh Medhi and Krishna Boro also sustained injuries in the incident.
The injured individuals were rushed to the Salbari Model Hospital, where they are currently receiving the necessary medical treatment.
The forest department has launched a probe into this matter.
