Manipur: CBI team to probe missing students’ death case

A tense situation continues to grip Manipur following the deaths of the students, who had gone missing months ago from Imphal Valley
A specialized team of the Central Bureau of Investigation, led by the agency’s director, will land in Imphal today and expedite the investigation into the deaths of the two missing students.
With the situation grim in Manipur in the wake of the news revolving around the deaths of the missing students, the CBI team has been brought in to further expedite the probe.
Chief Minister Biren Singh, announcing the developments, said the CBI’s presence underscores the commitment of the authorities to swiftly resolve the matter. He added that he has been constantly in touch with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and assured that both the state and central government are closely working together to nab the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, a tense situation continues to grip Manipur following the deaths of the students, who had gone missing months ago from Imphal Valley.
