Two NSCN-K cadres have been apprehended by police at Arunachal Pradesh’s Longding district and eastern Assam’s Charaideo district. The two militants were nabbed during search operations. They have been identified

Two NSCN-K cadres have been apprehended by police at Arunachal Pradesh’s Longding district and eastern Assam’s Charaideo district.

The two militants were nabbed during search operations. They have been identified as Angam Bangsu and Paras Gurung. Search operations had been on since Saturday. Both these cadres have been charged with illegally extorting money for NSCN-K.

Search operations had been on in many surrounding region by security forces after Sunday’s attack on an Assam Rifles convoy by NSCN-K and ULFA-I.
