Mizoram: Class 12 board exam results out, pass percentage at 78.66%

Boys outshone girls with an overall pass percentage of 79.89 percent as compared to 77.64 percentage of girls

The results for the Class 12 final examination under the Mizoram Board of School Education was announced today for the arts, science and the commerce streams.
The total pass percentage has been recorded at 78.66 percent.

Boys outshone girls with an overall pass percentage of 79.89 percent as compared to 77.64 percentage of girls.

Of the total 14,091 students who appeared for the exams, 11,084, including 5,982 girls, 5,102 boys
cleared the examinations.
The pass percentages recorded in all the 3 streams are-
Arts-78.34 percent
Science- 77.69 percent
Commerce- 86.50 percent

In the Arts stream, Rodinpuia Ralte of Home Mission School in Aizawl was the topper. Sharing his thoughts after the achievement Rodinpuia said, “I was shocked. My friend had called me, he told me about the result and I still did not believe him. This is one of the dreams that I had. I studied for 5 hours. My top priority is to become a Civil Service officer, either an IAS or IPS officer.”

Jonathan Lalhruaitluanga of St. Joseph Higher Secondary School in Aizawl who topped the merit list in science stream said,”At first I could not believe, I was so nervous. I did not have particular study hours, I studied when I felt like. My future thought is of becoming an MBBS. I want to become a specialist.”

Meanwhile, topper of Commerce stream, Vanlakdika of St. Paul’s Higher Secondary School in Aizawl said,”After seeing the results me and my siblings were shouting upstairs. I used to regularly cover every topic that was taught in the classroom. For now I am thinking to complete my B.Com and along with it I want to do CA (Chartered Accountant).”
