As the police and the authorities in Assam are trying to out a check on fake news and rumour mongering that cost two innocent lives in the state, the rumours and fake news circulating in social media seem to be spreading its pangs in other parts of Northeast.

Similar posts have started doing the rounds in social media circles in Manipur where a post is doing the rounds that 500 migrants have reached the state and disguised themselves as petty vendors to rob people and even take away their organs after killing them.

So rumour mongering and fake news spreading its pangs and now misleading messages and news seem to be doing the rounds in Manipur.
