Manipur: CM Biren Singh reviews preparedness for 59th Femina Miss India, 2023

Manipur will be hosting the 59th Femina Miss India, grand finale for the first time ever in Northeast India's history
Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh today reviewd the arrangements for grand finale of Femina Miss India 2023 scheduled to be held at the Indoor Stadium, Sports Complex, Khuman Lampak, Imphal on April 15.
Chief Minister Biren Singh said that the Mega event will be another opportunity to showcase the warm hospitality of the people of Manipur and the state’s potential to host more such national events in the state.
It may be mentioned here that Manipur will be hosting the 59th Femina Miss India, grand finale for the first time ever in Northeast India’s history.
Contestants from from 29 states and a collective representative for all Union Territories adding up to 30 participants will compete for the title.
As per sources, contestants will be arriving in Imphal tomorrow, April 7.
The Times Group has entered into a first-ever partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of Manipur, to host the grand finale of Femina Miss India 2023 in the northeastern state.
Earlie, speaking on the partnership, CM Singh said that the event will be held in Manipur with the purpose to celebrate the diverse and inclusive Indian culture.
The Chief Minister also eexuded confidence that the coming of India’s best talents to the state will help inspire and empower the local youths besides showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Manipur.
Earlier, MD, The Times of India, Vineet Jain said that over the last 6 decades, Femina Miss India has reached audiences in different cities across the country, and the Finale of the 59th edition in Imphal will be something to remember for a long time.
Miss India has transformed the lives of many Indian women, giving them empowerment, employability, opportunity and a strong voice in the community. The state of Manipur also believes in empowering its women to be equal partners in development, hence this partnership is a natural culmination of ideologies and vision, he said.
