The 12-member YLA team, headed by its president H.C. Vanlalruatpuia held talks with the cadres of the Chin Defence Force – Zophai group and villagers of Nghalang village in Chin state.

The YLA team told CDF-Zophai cadres and Nghalang villagers that they were angered by the murder of B. Lalthafamkima of Lungpher village in Lawngtlai district and two other persons from Siaha district inside Myanmar. The team expressed anguish over the fact that people from Mizoram were being killed in Myanmar while the people of Mizoram are welcoming and providing humanitarian assistance to tens of thousands of refugees from Myanmar.

The civil society leaders, with the help of CDF cadres and nearby villagers tried to recover the vehicle driven by B. YLA members of Bualpui and Niawhtlang villages will make another effort to recover the vehicle on Monday (tomorrow).

The area where the bodies of Biaksuii (48), Bablu Talukdar (44), both residents of Siaha andB. Lalthafamkima (37) of Chhuarlung village in Lawngtlai district were found (near Nghalang village) falls under the control of the CDF-Zophai. The former CDF-Mindat group members are the main suspects in the murders. The charred bodies of the trio were found on March 22 night by volunteers from Lawngtlai district.

Baby Ṭiallensung, daughter of Biaksuii, recently released a statement accusing Zaw Oo and Aung Ling, both belonging to Chin Defense Force (CDF) of Mindat area in Chin state, of being responsible for the killings.
