Mass candle light vigil in Khonsa to express solidarity with family of martyred constable Wangniam Bosai

Hundreds gathered today at the a mass candle light vigil organised under the banner of ADTSU (All Tirap District Students Union) and Kaimai Welfare Youth Club (KWYC) at Khonsa Bazar Taxi stand in Khonsa to pray for the eternal peace of IRBN constable Wangniam Bosai who was killed on Sunday by NSCN-K rebel at Khonsa jail during a daring jailbreak and show solidarity with the bereaved family.
Slogans like ‘Wangniam Bosai Amar Rahen’, ‘we want justice’ was raised followed by two minutes silence to pay homage to the departed soul.
Leading the candle vigil ATDSU President Jawang Bangsia appealed the government to compensate the bereaved family with ex gratia as admissible and to nab the criminals as soon as possible.
ZPM Bari-Basip Tediap Hallang on behalf of all ZPMs expressed his solidarity with the bereaved family and appealed the security forces to apprehend the murderer at early as possible. He also requested all to cooperate with the security forces to nab the culprits.
Sr. Public leader Wintung Bosai and President KWYC Tingwang Hosai also spoke on the occasion. They condemned the brutal killing of police personnel Const Wangniam Bosai and appealed the security forces to apprehend the criminal as early as possible.
On behalf of bereaved family and organizing committee Sanwang Hosai expressed gratitude to all for participating in the candle mass vigil and seek cooperation from all walks of life to apprehend the culprits.
