Union Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju has asserted that the intelligence agencies are well aware of the increased threat of Islamist radicalization in Assam.

He added that the agencies are well equipped to tackle any situation and the there is no reason to panic.

Rijiju added that the overall situation in Northeast is much better now. Rijiju pointed out that the Armed Forces Special Powers Act has been removed from most areas.
