Violence does not seem to end in Sikkim.

On February 16, former MLA and SDF vice president Binod Rai was allegedly assaulted by miscreants when he went out for a morning walk. Rai has sustained serious injuries.
The incident is said to have occurred around 6.15 am at Sorok Dara under Namchi district.

Four miscreants wearing masks came in a black vehicle and brutally attacked Rai with rods, stones and sharp weapons, the statement said.

Goons have crossed its limits as such murderous attacks are taking place in broad daylight, said Rai.
