Meghalaya Polls 2023: BJP leader John Keats Sangma joins TMC

He was a BJP ticket aspirant from the Phulbari assembly constituency, West Garo Hills

In a major boost for the Meghalaya Trinamool Congress, John Keats Sangma, a BJP ticket aspirant from the Phulbari assembly constituency, West Garo Hills, along with his supporters, joined the Meghalaya TMC at the party office in Tura on Friday.

Sangma joined the party in the presence of Meghalaya TMC candidate and ex-MLA from the Phulbari assembly constituency, SG Esmatur Mominin, and Sapford N Sangma, Meghalaya TMC West Garo Hills district coordinator.

John Keats Sangma is a teacher by profession and a prominent Garo leader in the hill belt of Phulbari Constituency.

Meanwhile, Esmatur Mominin, a Meghalaya TMC candidate from Phulbari, SG, filed his nomination for the upcoming elections on Friday.
