All four bodies buried in Aizawl quarry recovered after massive two-day rescue operations

After relentless rescue operations, disaster management forces have been able to recover all the four bodies that were stuck in the debris following a quarry cave in at Zemabawk Berawlui in Aizawl district on Saturday afternoon.

The recovered bodies include that of one 32-year-old woman, a 40-year-old man identified as Munga. Earlier, two bodies of minors were recovered yesterday. Both the deceased minors have been identified as 14-year-old girl Lynda Lalthiang-limi and a 10-year-old girl Lal-rem-zovi have been recovered from the site.

The Emergency Special Force Disaster Management and Rehabilitation, along with the SDRF and NDRF teams carreied out search operations soon after the incident took place. Meanwhile all the four bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
