The Manipur government employees have renewed their agitation seeking implementation of the 7th pay commission recommendations at the earliest.

A joint forum of the employees of the Manipur Directorate of Information and Public relations staged a sit-in protest at the office premises on Monday in support of the demand.

Earlier on March 22, a strike was jointly called by the All Manipur Trade Unions Council and the All Manipur Government Employees Organisation.

Meanwhile, Manipur Pradesh Congree Committee president TN Haokip has slammed the BJP led government for remaining indifferent to the issue.
