Nagaland: Hectic preps for Hornbill Festival

Nagaland: 10-day extravaganza to begin with grand fervour. Nagaland govt making all arrangement to make event a big success.
Preparations are afoot for the 23rd edition of the iconic Hornbill Festival in Nagaland which begins on December 1st. It will be a complete display of the traditions, art, cutlure, cuisines of the 33 tribes of Nagaland as large number of tourists are expected to flock the 10-day extravaganza.
Meanwhile, Toyota India will present the 23rd edition of Hornbill Music Festival which will be held at The Naga Heritage, Kisama from 1-10 December. The event will be officially launched on 2 December.
Abu Metha, Advisor to Chief Minister stated that Hornbill Music Festival is India’s biggest music event and of all the events that takes place during Hornbill Festival the Hornbill Music Festival is the shining star of Hornbill. He said the music festival brings different countries under this platform and it is also a platform that highlights the talents, capabilites, the enery, vibrancy and the ambition of Naga youth to a global community adding that Hornbill festival in the last 23 years has only continued to grow and this year Nagaland is expecting it to be bigger than big.
Metha informed that the 23rd edition of HMF will feature 24 bands participating over 10 days. Tiny Fingers one of Israel’s best known music band, will be participating in the Hornbill Music Festival. Metha informed that the Embassy of Israel, is sponsoring the Tiny Fingers to come and participate in the Hornbill Festival.
