Congress to contest in all 60 seats in Meghalaya

Congress as of now is ready with the list of candidates for 57 seats and is on the lookout for candidates in the remaining 3 seats.

Congress will contest in all the 60 seats of the Meghalaya legislative assembly in the upcoming elections in 2023. This has been informed by Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Vincent Pala.

Briefing newspersons, Pala who is also the Lok Sabha MP from Shillong said that as of now the party ready with the list of candidates in 57 seats and is on the lookout for candidates in the remaining 3 seats.
When asked if the Congress will ally with the NPP or the Trinamool Congress, Vincent Pala said that his party will look into this once it crosses the bridge.

Pala said that it is too early to say something at present and that the elected members will take a call on this later. The Meghalaya Congress president is also confident of a good show and confirmed that he will be contesting the assembly elections in 2023.

Vincent Pala said that it has become difficult for him to concentrate in his own constituency while serving as an MP and also as the MPCC president at the same time.

However, Pala was optimistic when he said that he was fortunate to have good people working for his party at the grassroots.
