Meghalaya to get first private medical college soon

This hospital will be made completely free for all underprivileged patients and entirely free for the people of Meghalaya.
Meghalaya will get the first private medical college and Hospital in the state by 2025. The foundation stone of PA Sangma international medical college and Hospital was laid today at the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma in presence of other dignitaries.
One of the main features of the Medical College and Hospital will be a 200 bedded superficiality hospital with all kinds of technological facilities with cutting edge research.
This hospital will be made completely free for all underprivileged patients and entirely free for the people of Meghalaya.
The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by Home and Education minister of Meghalaya Lakhmen Rymbui, former Governor of Meghalaya RS Mooshahary, former Director of AIIMS Dr RC Deka besides other dignitaries including directors of several medical organisations, leading doctors, and entrepreneurs.
Talking to Northeast Live Founder Chairman of ERD foundation Mahbabul Hoque said that the new institution aims at attracting patients and students from the ASEAN countries primarily from Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.
Meanwhile, a global leader from the US, Rhonda Vetere who joined as the global ambassador of the institution said that North East India has got a lot of potentials to shine on the global platform and this medical college and Hospital will be one such example.
