Assam-A’chal border talks: Delegations inspects areas of differences

Briefing the media Assam border affairs minister Atul Bora said informed that the government is making every effort to resolve the vexed issue.
Both the Assam and Arunachal Pradesh governments are working on a mission mode to resolve the inter-state boundary issue.
As part of the efforts, a joint team led by Assam border affairs minister Atul Bora and Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein inspected the areas of differences in Namsai and Tezu to assess the situation from ground zero.
The border inspection comes after the last Chief Ministerial-level talks held in Namsai on July 17.
Briefing the media Assam border affairs minister Atul Bora said informed that the government is making every effort to resolve the vexed issue.
Moreover, Atul Bora also informed that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has directed the regional committees to submit the report at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Deputy CM of Arunachal, Chowna Mein said that as per the Namsai declaration both the delegation went to the border areas. He further said that they will visit Tezu in the Lohit district to review the situation and decide on the future course of action soon.
