The NPP has extended unconditional support to the N. Biren Singh government in Manipur. Exactly two days after the BJP government assumed charge, all the seven NPP MLAs have extended their support to the party.
Earlier Chief Minister N. Biren Singh before the election results had maintained that the NPP will not be a part of the coalition.
Similarly, Meghalaya Chief Minister and NPP national president Conrad Sangma had also said that his party will not align with the Saffron party.
However, both sides had not said anything specific about any post-poll alliance.
The 7 NPP MLAs who have extended support to the BJP government are Tadubi MLA and NPP legislature party leader N Kayisii, Kh Loken Singh, Irengbam Nalini Devi, Thongam Shanti Singh, M Rameshwar Singh, Janghemlung Panmei and Sheikh Noorul Hassan.
