Manipuri pugilists triumph in Montenegro as T Sanamacha Chanu and Babyrojisana Chanu clinched gold medals for India at the 30th Adriatic Pearl Tournament in Budva, Montenegro, increasing the medal tally
Manipuri pugilists triumph in Montenegro as T Sanamacha Chanu and Babyrojisana Chanu clinched gold medals for India at the 30th Adriatic Pearl Tournament in Budva, Montenegro, increasing the medal tally for the country in the tournament.
The Indian contingent at the tournament has also added two silver and three more bronze to their tally on the penultimate day of the competition.
In an all-Indian clash in the 75 kg category, Manipuri girl Sanamacha, outpunched Raj Sahiba 5-0 for the goal medal. Meanwhile, Babyrojisana Chanu outclassed Uzbekistan’s Sabina Bobokulova in the 51 Kg category to bring gold for the country.
Apart from Sanamacha and Babyrojisana, Alfiya Pathan secured the country’s first gold in the on-going tournament in the 81 kg category.
