Centre agrees to demands of ULFA’s pro-talk faction

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju today revealed that the Centre has already agreed to the demands of the ULFA progressive as put forward by the pro-talk ULFA leaders led by Chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa during their talks with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
Rijiju said that the demands presented were genuine and considering this fact the Centre had decided to agree to the demands. The Home affairs ministry has already issued necessary instructions to give it a final shape and that the Centre would ensure that the process is not delayed.
The Progressive faction of the ULFA entered into peace talks with the Central Government in April 2010, while being headed by chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa.
