Two more students of Assam reached back to their home state from war-torn Ukraine.

The two students identified as Animesh Das of Guwahati and Swastik Raj from Bongaigaon arrived at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Airport yesterday evening.

The two students thanked the Government of India for rescuing them and also talked of the current situation in war-torn Ukraine.

Meanwhile, three more students from Assam studying in Ukraine have been evacuated by the Ministry of External Affairs and brought back to India.

The three evacuated students are–Bhaswati Goswami (Guwahati), Mrigakshi Kalita (Nalbari) & Saddam Hussain (Nagaon).

They arrived in Delhi at 3 am today. Later, the students were received by Assam Bhawan officials.

The Assam government will arrange their tickets to Guwahati, said Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in his tweet.

It may be mentioned that the state government and the government of India are working tirelessly to evacuate Indian nationals and bring them back home under Operation Ganga those who are stranded in Ukraine due to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
