Meghalaya ILP Demand: HSPDP urges state govt to pressurise centre

The Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) has once again, urged the state government to keep reminding the Centre on the demand for the implementation of the Inner Line Permit

The Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) has once again, urged the state government to keep reminding the Centre on the demand for the implementation of the Inner Line Permit in Meghalaya.

Speaking to the Media, HSPDP president KP Pangniang said, the party will not keep silent and will march forward to rake the issue until and unless the matter is heard and the centre take a final call.

Stating that they joined the MDA government with a list of issues that includes ILP, interstate boundary and Uranium mining.

Pangniang said, it is their duty to remind the government to discuss with the coalition partner on the ILP issue and HSPDP will not stop until and unless ILP is implemented.

Pointing out that the only word from the centre has been that they are examining the matter, Pangniang said, the party will remind the state government and at the same time hopes that the government of the day will keep on reminding the central government.
