After the release of Miram Taron who was abducted by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China last month, now another similar case of abduction has come to fore from the frontier state of Arunachal Pradesh.

The entire matter came to light after Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao requested the Centre on Thursday to initiate steps for the release of a youth named Tapor Pullom, who was allegedly abducted by the Chinese PLA in September 2015 from the Line of Actual Control in Monigong area in Shi-Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Raising the matter during the Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha, Tapir Gao also requested the Centre that all agencies should be used to bring back the youth.

Gao added that the youth’s family went from pillar to post and even sought help from the Army and Government of India to bring him back.

He said that in September 2015, both Tapor Pullom and his associate went for harvest collection and hunting but while hunting near a pass, the Chinese PLA took Tapor Pullom with them.

He added that due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi six abductees returned home in the last two years and requested the centre to deploy all agencies for his release.

Worth mentioning is that, the Chinese PLA had last month handed over 19-year-old Miram Taron to the Indian Army, a week after the teenager went missing from an area close to LAC in Arunachal Pradesh.
