BJP candidate and sitting Public Works Minister Th Biswajit Singh filed his nomination for the upcoming Manipur elections today at the RO Office in Porompat, Imphal East.

Biswajit Singh will be contesting from the Thongu Assembly Constituency and will be going up against Congress candidate Seram Niken, who has also filed his candidature.

Meanwhile, NPP candidate Sheik Noor Hassan today filed his nomination for Kshetrigao AC, while BJP candidate L Rameshwore filed his candidature for Keirao AC.

Earlier in the day, Ex Forest and Environment Minister, Th Shyamkumar who is the BJP candidate from Andro seat, also officially entered the election fray and filed his nomination before the RO of Imphal East at Porompat.

Shyamkumar will face opponents including NPP candidate L Sanjoy, INC candidate K Ningthemjao and Independent candidate A Bele.
