Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh today filed his nomination paper at the Heingang Assembly Constituency in Imphal East. Chief Minister N Biren Singh arrived at the office of the Returning Officer, accompanied by State BJP President A Sharada Devi. With this, the Manipur Chief Minister formally entered into the Manipur election fray.
Meanwhile, Chief N Biren Singh has gone on record to term the Congress manifesto as impractical, adding that the BJP will release its manifesto at the earliest.

Further, Chief Minister N Biren Singh exuded confidence in a clean sweep of the Heingang constituency, calling his rival from Congress a namesake candidature.
Meanwhile, Congress has fielded Saratchandra from the Heingang Assembly Constituency. On the other hand, the BJP has fielded L Sushindro for the Khurai seat who also filed his nomination papers today.
