As part of the Seva aur Samarpan abhiyan, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Friday headed a cleanliness drive in surrounding areas of Ima market and Samu Makhong, including the surroundings of Nambul river in the state capital.
During the drive, CM Biren Singh launched the ‘Health for All’ scheme to provide doorstep health checkups and medicine delivery to different sections of society in the state.
The Chief Minister also visited children at Mahila Kalyan Samiti Children Home in Imphal west and distributed sweets to the children there.
Taking to Twitter, CM Biren Singh wrote, “As we celebrate Hon’ble PM @narendramodi Ji’s birthday today under the slogan “Seva aur Samarpan,” I spent some memorable time with the children at Mahila Kalyan Samiti Children Home, Deulaland. Also, distributed some sweets and blanket during my visit.”

He also visited Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) and met with doctors, nurses, other healthcare workers and housekeeping staffs.
“As part of Hon’ble PM Modi Ji’s birthday celebration, I am truly glad that I could spend some time with our doctors, nurses, other healthcare and housekeeping staffs at JNIMS. I thanked them for their service and distributed some sweets as well,” Singh said in another tweet.

The cleanliness drive is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 71st birthday celebration.
Meanwhile, the BJP’s state wing, headed by its president A Sarda Devi, also organised a cleanliness drive at the surrounding areas of party office in Nityaipat Chuthek. Similar cleanliness drives were also carried out by district offices across the state.
