The first meeting of the Core Committee on Naga Political issue has concluded with the committee adopting a five-point resolution in Dimapur on Friday.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, leader of opposition TR Zeliang and top ruling and opposition leaders attended the key meet which is being termed as historic.
Talking exclusively to Northeast Live, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said that he is happy with the outcome of the meeting which he termed as positive.
Rio added that every member of the Core Committee has come together for the Naga issue and hopes are high for an early solution to bring in permanent peace.
Besides, Rio informed that his government is in talks with the Centre to discuss the way for bringing the NSCN-K Yung Aung faction to the peace table.
