COVID-19 cases in Arunachal Pradesh rises to 43 as one more test positive

Another fresh COVID-19 positive case has been reported in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday. The patient was detected in Namsai district and was reportedly asymptomatic.
On Thursday, Arunachal saw a total of five cases being reported from the state. With this, the total COVID-19 case tally has reached 43.
So far, the positive case breakdown in the state are as follows – 28 from Changlang, 7 from capital complex, 1 from Pakke Kesang, 1 from Upper Siang, 1 from Tawang, 1 from Lohit, 2 from Namsai and 1 from West Siang.
Due to backlog, samples are being currently outsourced to Dr Lal PathLabs in New Delhi besides the existing testing laboratories in Naharlagun, Dibrugarh and Tezpur.
Authorities have also informed that 14 TrueNat machines shall be operational in all the designated 14 check gates of the state.
Meanwhile, the state have not reported any death case due to COVID-19 infection so far. The state’s first Covid patient was discharged from hospital after full recovery.
