Two more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Manipur. Both the cases have been reported from the IIIT Mantripukhuri quarantine centre. The patients are now admitted at the isolation
Two more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Manipur. Both the cases have been reported from the IIIT Mantripukhuri quarantine centre.
The patients are now admitted at the isolation wards in the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).
Both the individuals had returned from New Delhi by bus and reached Mao Gate on May 16. Subsequent to this they were sent to institutional quarantine.
The Covid patients, a mother and her daughter, had gone to the national capital in the month of February for eye treatment at AIIMS.
Meanwhile, the health department has started contact tracing of the co-passengers of the COVID-19 patients among others. Both the patients hail from Khongjal village in Kamjong district.
With this the number of active cases in the state has risen to 7 while total cases stand at 9.
