3 arrested on charges of vandalising Union Minister Rameswar Teli’s residence

Police has arrested three persons on charges of arson and vandalism at the residence of Union Minister of state, Rameswar Teli in Duliajan, Assam which took place on December 11.

Police has arrested three persons on charges of arson and vandalism at the residence of Union Minister of state, Rameswar Teli in Duliajan, Assam which took place on December 11.

The three accused have been identified as Jitu Duarah, Sanjib Saikia and Ankur Ojha.

It may be mentioned that hundreds of people had attacked the residence of the union minister on December 12 forcing security forces to resort to blank firing.

Two police personnel including the officer-in-charge of Duliajan police station Rupjyoti Dutta and a constable were injured in clash with irate protesters.
