Newly appointed Arunachal Pradesh Congress president Nabam Tuki formally took over charge of the party at the Rajiv Bhawan in Itanagar on Monday morning.

Outgoing president Takam Sanjoy handed over the charge to Tuki. Earlier, Tuki was accorded a warm welcome by party workers.

Besides, Tuki, along with Congress Legislator Party leader Lombo Tayeng, Pasighat MLA Ninong Ering and Borduria MLA Wangding Lowangdong were also felicitated in a special function.

The former chief minister was appointed as the state Congress president on July 31 replacing Takam Sanjoy.
