Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has asked the administrations of 4 districts – Siang, West Siang, Lower Siang and Shi Yomi to intensify the search and rescue operations.
Almost 100 hours of multi-agency search and rescue operations have failed yield any results and there has been no trace of the missing AN-32 aircraft with 13 Air Force personnel on board.
Chief Minister Khandu has further appealed the local villagers to assist in the search operations and locate the missing aircraft at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the search and rescue operations are underway in three ranges in the Siang Valley, namely – Bayor adi Mountain range, Pari adi Mountain range and Sibir-Virong mountain range.

Search and rescue operations to locate the missing AN-32 aircraft of the Indian Air Force has entered its fourth day today. Search sorties by two Sukhoi-30 and C-130s continued throughout the night.
The Indian Air Force and Indian Army helicopters that include the M-17s and advanced Light Helicopters resumed its operations today morning after it had to call off its operations on Wednesday due to bad weather.
Earlier, reports came in that the wreckage of the missing AN-32 aircraft has been spotted, however, their has been no confirmation of the same yet.
According to official sources in West Siang district, the missing aircraft had been located somewhere in the Molo-Molom area under Siang district.
