Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Inaugurates City Surveillance Project in Aalo, reviews progress of schemes in West Siang

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu chaired a detailed review meeting and took stock of major infrastructure projects, the Thirteen Saturation Tracker and inaugurated the high-tech City Surveillance System in Aalo, West Siang District.

The meeting attended by Heads of Departments (HoDs) at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall in Aalo, West Siang District also discussed initiatives taken at the district level, challenges which are hampering the implementation of these schemes and initiatives and finding solutions to these challenges so that the benefits of the initiatives can reach the people.

Under the City Surveillance Project 10 CCTV cameras have been installed at strategic locations across Aalo rownship to monitor activities, deter crime, and improve traffic management. The system’s operation was formally handed over to SSP Aalo, T. Amo, who presented updates on efforts to combat criminal activities, drug peddling, and traffic violations in the district.

CM Khandu was accompanied by Balo Raja, Minister of Urban Development, Housing, and Land Management, who also serves as the Guardian Minister for West Siang and nearby districts.

The meeting served as a platform to assess developmental progress in the region and devise actionable strategies to address challenges, ensuring sustainable growth in West Siang.
