After AGP’s controversial move to give ticket to a convicted poacher, now Congress has raised eyebrows among people by giving party ticket to an alleged poacher in the upcoming Panchayat elections.

Dilwar Hussain, arrested twice in connection with poaching of rhinoceros, has been awarded a ticket by the Congress party to contest for the panchayat elections in Biswanath district of Assam.

Hussain has been alleged to be involved in the killing of a rhino in the Kaziranga National Park that took place on December 13, 2011.

A case has also been registered against Hussain at the Biswanath Chariali police station. Hussain has also been linked to the killing of rhino at Bagori in Kaziranga.

It is to be noted that Hussain has earlier been jailed over poaching charges.
