The Mizo National Front has cleared that the party is not forging any pre or post poll alliance with the BJP for the upcoming November 28 assembly elections.

The MNF also maintained that no deliberations have been held in this regard between both the parties.

The MNF statement also said that the ZPM is the first party who got into an alliance with the BJP in Aizawl Municipal Council elections in 2015.

Significantly both the arch rivals, the BJP and the Congress also had allied to form the Chakma Autonomous District Council.

The MNF statement comes after Mizoram BJP president JV Hluna said that the BJP is confident of winning the assembly elections and that it might go for a coalition government if necessary.
