Keeping in view of the the ongoing crisis in the Manipur University, various state tribal organisations have come up with a crucial decision regarding the future of the students.
In a resolution passed recently, the tribal organisations expressed anguish over the current situation in the educational institutions of the state putting the future of the students at stake.
The organisations including ATSUM, KSO-GHQ and ANSAM have demanded a separate Hill University.
The students’ organisations further took a resolution yesterday to launch a 5-day economic blockade in all the national highways under their jurisdictions from 5:00 am on October 9 if the their demands, which includes returning of normalcy in Manipur University, are not met by October 8.
