As many as 6 students bodies including the AMSU, DESAM and MSF held a meeting with the Manipur University Teachers Association members in the varsity campus today.

The closed-door meet lasted for close to 3 hours. Adding to the already confusing state of affairs in the varsity, the student leaders refused to divulge any details of the meet.

It may be mentioned that the talks between the MUTA delegation and Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh ended inconclusively yesterday.

A 12-member MUTA delegation has called on chief minsiter Biren Singh last evening after the latter extended a second invitation to the university teachers’ body.

The MUTA is demanding the unconditional and immediate release of the arrested varsity students and teachers.
