Assam’s Manoj Debnath wins bronze medal at Hanoi Open International Arm Wrestling Championship

Manoj Debnath of Dibrugarh district of Assam bagged a bronze medal at the Hanoi Open International Armwrestling Championship, held in Vietnam on July 13–14, 2024.

Debnath won the medal in the below 70 kg category beating youth world champion Josh Nicholas from Thailand.

Participants from more than 10 countries including Russia Kazakhstan China Singapore, Czech Republic, etc took part in this championship.

Taking to Instagram, Manoj Debanth wrote, “Secured bronze 🥉 medal for India below 70kg class in Hanoi open Armwrestling championship Vietnam. Right will start after few hours.”

Earlier, Debnath clinched a gold medal in the senior men 63kg category at the Asian Arm Wrestling Championship held in Malaysia in 2022.
