Assam school uses yellow instead of green in the national flag. Here’s what happened

The residents have expressed dismay over the matter saying it is like an insult to the national flag.

A government school in Assam’s Bajali has sparked a huge controversy over alleged incorrect display of the Indian National Flag on its premises, violating the Flag Code of India.

As per inputs, the school authorities had recently beautified the premises and painted the national flag on pillars of the building.
As per the national flag code, the top panel should be saffron, middle panel white, bearing at its centre the design of Ashoka Chakra in navy blue colour with 24 equally spaced spokes, and bottom panel green.

However, the school completely got it wrong and in place of green, they painted yellow.

Locals accused the school authorities of insulting the national flag and staged a protest.
