Diyun-Bordumsa’s Independent candidate out of the poll race

Arunachal Independent candidate Drishyanumi Chakma who filed his nomination from the 49-Diyun-Bordumsa constituency failed to pass the scrutiny process.
Earlier, the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union had raised an obejction to the nomination of Drishyanumi Chakma, a Chakma candidate, for the upcoming State Assembly Election.
AAPSU General Secretary Ritum Tali alleged that Chakma’s nomination was not legal.
He emphasized that such a move undermines the rights and integrity of the indigenous communities.
The union has urged the state government to take prompt and decisive action to uphold the rights of indigenous people and reject the nomination.
The Chakma-Hajong issue is a longstanding and contentious matter in Arunachal Pradesh, generating significant debate, tension, and socio-political ramifications.
