ISRO Sets Up First Space Education Lab in Arunachal’s Keyi Panyor District

The lab is the result of a collaboration between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Vyomika Space Academy.
A groundbreaking initiative has been launched in Arunachal Pradesh with the inauguration of the state’s first-ever Space Education Lab at Government Higher Secondary School Yazali in Keyi Panyor district.
On Wednesday, Arunachal’s Education Minister, Pasang Dorjee Sona, unveiled the lab, praising the local administration for this visionary move.
He emphasized that the lab would offer students an opportunity to delve into the wonders of space, sparking scientific curiosity and fostering a new generation of innovators.
The lab is the result of a collaboration between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Vyomika Space Academy, aimed at preparing students for future space exploration. The initiative underscores the growing importance of space education in India’s educational landscape.
IN-SPACe, ASI, and Isro joined forces to launch a nationwide model rocketry competition for students. The competition, attracting 86 teams, aims to foster interest in space exploration and technology. 55 teams, selected after rigorous evaluations, are participating in a workshop at Air Force Station – Jalahalli.
