Giving the much-needed development push to poll-bound Manipur, Union Home Minister Amit Shah today virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for twenty-nine developmental projects worth Rs 2450 Crore here.
Giving the much-needed development push to poll-bound Manipur, Union Home Minister Amit Shah today virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for twenty-nine developmental projects worth Rs 2450 Crore here.
The home minister inaugurated fifteen developmental projects that include four road & bridge projects under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna, two projects under NEC- an International Students Hostel at Manipur University and Multi-Purpose Cultural Hall at Longmai, and construction of the State Hydrological Data Center at Lamphel Imphal west and eight projects for Health Infrastructure.
Shah laid the foundation of fourteen developmental projects that include 100 Bedded Covid Hospital at Kakching, Olympians Park at Sangaithel,rejuvenation of Lamphelpat Water Body to Alleviate Urban Flooding and providing sustainable water sources for Imphal city and promoting Eco-Tourism, Sports Complexes in 7 districts under Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram and setting up of Manipur Technology Innovation Hub.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh along with other delegates attended the virtual inauguration and foundation laying ceremony at City Convention Center in Imphal east palace compound.
Speaking during the ceremony, Shah said that Manipur has witnessed holistic development for the first time under the BJP-led government headed by N Biren Singh.
Meanwhile, exuding confidence Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that the BJP would return to power in the next election and carry out more such developmental works in the State.
