District health authorities in Nagaland’s Zunheboto district are on a mission to vaccinate almost all residents of the district. A special mass vaccination drive was organised in the entire district for the 18 to 44 age group on Sunday.

Multiple vaccination booths were set up in various locations of the town, sub-divisions and villages. People in large numbers also turned up during the drive.

Meanwhile, the 32nd Assam Rifles led by Colonel Animesh Mittal and other officers also provided food packs to the healthcare workers who were busy vaccinating the people in and around the town.

The mass vaccination drive is being carried out with an aim to decrease the spread of the deadly virus and also to bring down the mortality rate in the entire district.

On Sunday, a total of 3,039 residents were vaccinated in the entire district.

Meanwhile, the vaccination drive will continue at the District Hospital, Khuwaboto Sub-Centre and other Sub-Centres on all vaccination days.
