A students body in Nagaland has sought Governor RN Ravi’s intervention in securing release of 2 individuals allegedly held captive by the NSCN-Unification.

The Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) has sought Ravi’s intervention with two persons being held captive since March 2nd.

Demanding their safe release, the students’ body also held a peaceful protest rally at Jalukie town today to press for the release of the individuals.

A memorandum was also submitted to Governor RN Ravi in this regard by Zeliangrong Students’ Union through the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Peren.

It is to be mentioned that two farmers and a auto-rickshaw driver were kidnapped by NSCN (U) militants on March 2 and were reportedly taken to their designated camp at Khehoi. An FIR was lodged the very next day by the Lamhainamdi village council, while the auto driver has been released, the other two men continue to remain captive.
