Nagaland Governor RN Ravi took the first dose of homegrown COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS in New Delhi on Tuesday. The second dose is due after 28 days.

A press release issued by Raj Bhavan stated, “Honble Governor R N Ravi took first dose of indigenously produced Covaxin today March 2 at the AIIMS New Delhi following COVID 19 protocols. 2nd dose will be due after 28 days.”

Terming the vaccine as a wonderful gift to humanity, the Governor thanked the nation’s scientific community.

“Covaxin is absolutely safe and reliable. People have options to choose the vaccine – Covaxin or Covishield,” he added.

“When the world is in the throes of a global pandemic for the last over one year, It is a matter of pride for every Indian that our country is the Vaccine hub of the world and has brought this life-saving vaccine to the needy humanity in several countries,” the release said.

Ravi hoped that the people of Nagaland will take adequate advantage of the vaccine and help the nation in defeating Coronavirus.
