An earthquake of moderate intensity struck many parts of Manipur on Monday evening.

The quake’s epicenter was at a depth of 40 km South West in Moirang. Tremors were also felt in Guwahati and other parts of Assam.

A magnitude-5.4 earthquake was reported at 8:15 pm on Monday, 13 km SW of Moirang, Manipur, India, according to the National Centre for Seismology.

No casualty or damage to property has been reported so far.
