Seven more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam, tally now stands at 86.

Taking to Twitter Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced, “7 patients & attendants who came from Mumbai & now in quarantine tested positive.

Cancer: 1.Manoranjan Saha 2.Pradip Kumar Bania 3. Gopindra Chandra Malakar;
Heart: 4. 13-year-old (name withheld)

Attendants:5. P Basudev Patowari 6. Nilakantha Deb 7. Mina Rani Bania.”

The patients stranded in Mumbai were brought to Guwahati by 6 special buses on Tuesday night. After requisite screening the patients and their attendants were sent for quarantine.

Earlier on Wednesday, 15 persons from Guwahati tested positive for the deadly virus. They were related to Mangu Sahani, another COVID-19 patient who used to work at a potato godown at Fancy Bazaar area in Guwahati.
