Six persons including a Bangladeshi national with quarantine mark have been detained at Abhayapuri under lower Assam’s Bongaigaon district which is a COVID-19 orange zone.
A retired policeman Uday Chandra Das handed over the group to Abhayapuri Police when he noticed the men roaming around the town.
According to reports, one person in the group is a Bangladeshi citizen. On the other hand, two other men hail from West Bengal.
The incident has created sensation in the locality as Bongaigaon district was declared as orange zone after 5 COVID-19 positive cases were detected in the district.
