The NIA has picked up a businessman based in Eastern Assam’s Tinsukia district in connection with the assassination of Arunachal Pradesh NPP MLA Tirong Aboh and 10 others on May 21.
The businessman has been identified as Jaikishan Sharma, who is a close aide of the deceased MLA. Another person who happens to be Tirong Aboh’s classmate has also been picked up for interrogation.
Both the persons are believed to have leaked out information of the travel plans of Tirong Aboh and his entourage to the perpetrators.
