Pakistan is all set to release Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, the Indian Air Force pilot has been in Pakistani custody after an air skirmish on the border on Wednesday.

According to reports, Wing Commander Abhinandan is expected to enter India anywhere between 3.30 to 4 pm.

The development is being seen as a major diplomatic victory for India which has been building intense pressure on Pakistan to release the captured pilot immediately.

As per government sources, the IAF wing commander will be brought back through the Wagah border in Punjab.

The announcement on the release came from Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan who was addressing a joint session in the Parliament.

The Pakistan Prime Minister said Wing Commander Abhinandan was being released as a gesture of peace.
